Tokin’ Jew Launches First Kosher-For-Passover THC Gummies

This Passover, Jewish cannabis enthusiasts can celebrate with a new twist, thanks to the brand Tokin’ Jew. Founded by Will Cohen and Ben Kraim, the company recently released the first-ever THC gummies that are certified kosher-for-Passover. This allows Jews of all observance levels to enjoy a little “chai,” or life, during the holiday.

Tokin’ Jew initially debuted its line of kosher edibles, branded as Tokin’ Chew, in September. The release followed positive engagement with the brand’s cannabis accessories, merchandise, and apparel. The founders dedicated months to taste testing and planning, ensuring a quality product made with real fruit puree and certified by a reputable kosher authority in the cannabis industry.

Cohen emphasized the importance of having a kosher seal, stating that it was crucial for ensuring that anyone in the Jewish community could enjoy their products. He created the Tokin’ Jew meme page three years ago, which later evolved into this cannabis venture.

The new Passover flavors include “Seder Citrus” and “Four Cups,” designed to complement Tokin’ Jew’s “Highgada.” This unique adaptation of the traditional Haggadah incorporates cannabis into the seder, suggesting that, instead of the four cups of wine, one might indulge in four bowls of cannabis.

Tokin’ Jew is not limited to Passover. Their first product, the J Menorah, replaces traditional candle holders with joint holders for eight nights of Chanukah. For the High Holidays, they offer pipes designed to resemble a shofar. Other playful accessories include a seder plate rolling tray, a dreidel grinder, and matzah-printed rolling papers. The brand’s humorous approach provides a fresh way to engage with both cannabis and Judaism.

Cohen noted that the intersection of cannabis culture and Jewish traditions allows for a unique brand experience. He believes that this combination is where people find the most enjoyment in Tokin’ Jew. Kraim, who also operates a cannabis media company called WeedFeed, mentioned that the Jewish community has embraced Tokin’ Jew’s products and media presence.

Many within the community appreciate the light-hearted break from the stresses of modern life, with some expressing a desire to connect with Jewish traditions in a new way.
