Genuine Marketing Group and Ignite Dispensary Launch ZPTAG Beta Test

Genuine Marketing Group Inc. (OTC: GMGZ) has partnered with Ignite Dispensary to initiate a beta test for ZPTAG®, a new technology aimed at enhancing transparency and compliance in the cannabis industry. The announcement was made during the Benzinga Cannabis Capital Conference in Chicago, highlighting the ongoing efforts to improve consumer trust and product verification from seed to sale.

The beta testing phase is set to begin on June 20, 2025, and will encompass Ignite Dispensary’s operations in Wisconsin. ZPTAG® utilizes a patent-pending blockchain solution alongside a smartphone application. This system allows consumers to verify the origins and processing of cannabis products, ensuring compliance with regulations and providing visibility throughout the supply chain.

ZPTAG® builds upon GMGZ’s prior work with Carbon Intensity (CI) scoring systems, which incentivize environmentally responsible practices among farmers and cooperatives. This new initiative aims to further reward compliant actors in the regulated cannabis market by offering a secure platform that tracks products at every stage, including lab results, packaging, and logistics.

During the beta phase, selected Ignite Dispensary locations will offer nine different products, including pre-rolls, gummies, and snack mixes. Each product will feature unique tags that enable complete lifecycle tracking, allowing consumers and retailers to access crucial information about testing, sourcing, and certification directly at the point of sale.

Chuck Chastain, CEO of Genuine Marketing Group Inc., expressed enthusiasm for the collaboration with Ignite Dispensary and emphasized the importance of Tim Frey’s expertise in the cannabis sector. Frey, the founder of Ignite Dispensary, echoed this sentiment, noting that ZPTAG® enhances the shopping experience by providing customers with direct access to the product’s verification details, fostering greater confidence in their purchases.

The launch at the Benzinga conference underscores GMGZ’s objective to lead in compliance technology within the cannabis industry. By integrating blockchain technology into product authentication, GMGZ aims to set higher standards for transparency among brands and retailers. The company plans to expand its testing to include other hemp-derived products such as THC-infused beverages and tinctures, with a broader rollout anticipated in late 2025 and early 2026.

Ignite Dispensary is a fully licensed establishment that offers a wide range of cannabis and tobacco products. The dispensary focuses on quality and customer education, aiming to create a welcoming environment for all consumers.

Genuine Marketing Group Inc. specializes in consumer-focused marketing and verification systems in the cannabis sector. Its ZPTAG® system aims to build trust and compliance through direct consumer engagement and product authentication.
