The Minnesota Office of Cannabis Management (OCM) has announced that it will conduct license application lotteries on June 5. These lotteries will cater to social equity and general applicants seeking three types of licenses essential for establishing a cannabis supply chain: cannabis cultivator, cannabis manufacturer, and cannabis mezzobusiness licenses.
On the same day, a separate lottery will take place for social equity applicants applying for a cannabis retailer license. A lottery for general applicants in the cannabis retailer license category will follow later in the summer.
The lotteries will be broadcast live on the OCM YouTube channel, allowing the public to observe the process. Once the drawings conclude, the results will be published on the OCM’s website and communicated directly to the applicants. This initiative aims to promote fairness and inclusivity in the emerging cannabis industry in Minnesota.
