CAVE JUNCTION, Ore. – On June 23, authorities conducted a raid on an illegal cannabis operation in Cave Junction, seizing more than 1,500 cannabis plants along with six pounds of processed cannabis. The Josephine Marijuana Enforcement Team (JMET) executed the operation on Dick George Road, where they discovered a range of code violations related to electrical, water, and solid waste management. These violations could result in civil forfeiture of the property. During the raid, officials also confiscated a firearm found on the premises. The primary suspects associated with the operation were not present at the time of the search. If located, they could face charges for unlawful manufacturing and possession of cannabis. The investigation remains active as authorities continue to gather evidence.
