The New York State Office of Cannabis Management (OCM) has issued a recall for nine cannabis products from IndoGrow LLC due to the presence of unapproved pesticides, which could pose health risks to consumers. The specific pesticides involved have not been disclosed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

These products may also be marketed under different names such as Indi, Grow by Indi, Our Creation, and Grow with Us. Dispensaries and distributors across New York have been instructed to stop selling these items immediately.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The OCM described the recall as precautionary, and as of Wednesday afternoon, there have been no reported adverse effects related to the products. However, the agency warns that pesticide exposure can lead to symptoms such as nausea, headaches, and respiratory issues, according to Encore Labs, a cannabis testing group based in California.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Three recreational dispensaries on Long Island\u2014Strain Stars, Planet Nugg, and Happy Days\u2014confirmed to Newsday that they do not sell the recalled products. Additionally, four medical dispensaries, including Columbia Cares, Curaleaf, Sunnyside, and The Botanist, also stated they do not carry any of the affected items.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The OCM initially quarantined the affected products after they failed testing at a previous laboratory. After retesting, the products were identified as posing a potential health risk. The name of the lab that conducted the initial invalid tests has not been released.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
State regulations mandate that all cannabis products undergo pesticide testing. A May 2025 report from the OCM outlines that growers must declare any pesticides used during production for targeted testing, ensuring that levels do not exceed regulatory limits. Additionally, licensed growers may be required to submit samples for further testing if necessary.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Consumers who purchased any of the recalled products are advised to return them to the dispensaries where they were bought, even if the packaging has been opened.
