En este ensayo piloto de control aleatorizado, publicado en la revista Drug and Alcohol Dependence, participaron 47 mujeres con EM remitente-recurrente, de 43 a\u00f1os de edad de media, que buscaban reducir su consumo de cannabis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>En la intervenci\u00f3n se utiliz\u00f3 la estimulaci\u00f3n transcraneal por corriente continua (tDCS), una t\u00e9cnica no invasiva que modula la actividad neuronal aplicando una corriente el\u00e9ctrica de baja intensidad al cerebro. Los participantes recibieron en casa un dispositivo de tDCS programado para 20 minutos de estimulaci\u00f3n activa o una estimulaci\u00f3n simulada, en la que el dispositivo estaba apagado. Durante cuatro semanas, participaron en sesiones diarias supervisadas mediante videoconferencias, que incorporaban meditaci\u00f3n de atenci\u00f3n plena y m\u00fasica para relajarse.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Los resultados mostraron que 83% de los participantes completaron la intervenci\u00f3n, lo que demuestra su viabilidad para quienes compaginan el trabajo con los estudios. En particular, los participantes que recibieron estimulaci\u00f3n activa notificaron una reducci\u00f3n de 26% en la frecuencia de consumo de cannabis, pasando de una media de 5,3 d\u00edas a la semana a 3,9 d\u00edas. El grupo de control mostr\u00f3 una reducci\u00f3n menor, de 5,3 a 4,8 d\u00edas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Los s\u00edntomas de ansiedad, depresi\u00f3n e inquietud asociados a la abstinencia de cannabis disminuyeron significativamente entre los que recibieron estimulaci\u00f3n activa. Adem\u00e1s, estas mejoras se mantuvieron hasta tres meses despu\u00e9s de finalizar la intervenci\u00f3n.
