Finn Russell and Ben Earl Invest in Puresport Wellness Brand

Rugby players Finn Russell and Ben Earl have joined the investment team backing Puresport, a wellness brand founded by former Scotland rugby internationals Adam Ashe and Grayson Hart. The Glasgow-based company has secured £3.6 million in new funding to enhance its presence in the UK, prepare for global expansion, and develop new products.

Since its establishment in 2018, Puresport has evolved from a pioneering CBD brand into a performance nutrition company. Its product offerings now include hydration blends, adaptogenic mushrooms, and creatine, with plans for additional science-backed supplements targeting endurance, recovery, and overall wellness.

The latest funding round was led by Redrice Ventures, which has previously supported premium brands like Castore and Ocean Bottle, in partnership with Five Seasons Ventures. This investment also included a follow-on contribution from existing investors Russell and Earl.

With this new round of funding, Puresport has raised over £5 million in total. The brand is now under the leadership of CEO Daniel Temm, who brings experience as a former Newcastle Falcons player and England Sevens international.

Temm stated, “This investment equips us to build a brand that fosters community and connection. We aim to scale our operations in the UK, the US, and other markets while remaining profitable and aligned with our mission. Our focus is on creating a lasting brand that defines the future of performance nutrition.”

Robert Senior, a founding partner at Redrice, expressed confidence in Puresport’s approach, noting its emphasis on authenticity and a long-term vision. He remarked, “Brands that redefine their categories are what we seek. Puresport’s strong leadership and commitment to integrity set it apart in a market filled with fleeting trends. We believe it’s poised to lead the wellness sector.”

As Puresport continues to grow, it aims to establish a reputation for quality and community engagement, distinguishing itself from other brands in the wellness and nutrition market.
