Michigan cannabis sales drop in April amid price decline

Michigan’s recreational cannabis sales saw a decline in April, totaling $270 million compared to $276 million in March. This represents a decrease of $6 million month-over-month. In comparison to April 2024, sales were down by $7 million, although the quantity of products sold increased during this period. One key factor contributing to the drop in sales revenue is the significant reduction in the average retail price of cannabis. The average price for an ounce of marijuana flower fell to $63.23 in April, down from $86.61 the previous year. This price drop reflects ongoing changes in the market dynamics and consumer purchasing behavior.
