In April 2024, total cannabis sales in Missouri reached $125.9 million, marking a year-over-year increase of 4.86%. Despite this growth, sales declined from March 2024, which totaled $130.95 million, according to data from the Division of Cannabis Regulation, reported by Greenway Magazine.
Adult-use cannabis sales contributed significantly, totaling $111.1 million in April 2024, up from $104.6 million in April 2023. However, medical cannabis sales experienced a slight decrease, falling from $15.5 million in April 2023 to $14.8 million in April 2024.
Daily average sales in April stood at $4.2 million, an increase from $4 million during the same month last year. Overall, Missouri’s cannabis sales have reached $495.87 million in 2024 through the end of April, representing a 6% increase compared to $467.92 million during the same timeframe in 2023.
Since the legalization of medical cannabis in 2018, Missouri has seen over $3.9 billion in sales across the industry. The market is projected to surpass the $4 billion mark by fall 2024, as monthly sales in 2025 have already exceeded those of each corresponding month in the previous year. If this trend continues, total cannabis sales for the year could exceed the $1.6 billion recorded in 2024.
