ClassiCann festival features classical music and cannabis in Ukiah

UKIAH, CA., 5/23/25 — Ukiah’s Plantshop dispensary is hosting the second annual ClassiCann festival on Saturday, bringing together classical music, cannabis, and community engagement. The free event will run from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Plantshop’s outdoor stage, located at 2031 Wellmar Drive.

ClassiCann will feature live performances from twelve musicians, including several Grammy nominees. The event aims to create a relaxing atmosphere where attendees can enjoy food from local food trucks while listening to classical music. This year, the festival has expanded its offerings to include more musicians and food vendors compared to last year.

Phillip Lenberg, a coordinator of the event and music director of the Ukiah Symphony Orchestra, said, “ClassiCann is going to be bigger and better this second year.” The festival will divide musical performances into four sets, with a break for food from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. Attendees can smoke cannabis, relax, and enjoy the music and food throughout the event.

The festival is designed to help reduce stigma around cannabis use by combining it with artistic experiences. It is open to adults aged 21 and older, while those aged 18 to 20 can attend with a medical cannabis card. Dogs are welcome at the event but must be leashed.

Entry to ClassiCann is free, but registration is required. Interested participants can register through the event’s website. The festival represents an opportunity for the community to celebrate both cannabis culture and classical music in a unique setting.
