Actor and comedian Jim Belushi is returning to Ohio this week to promote his cannabis brand, Belushi’s Farms. The brand has recently launched its products in the state and Belushi is visiting Bloom Dispensaries to connect with fans and consumers. He will make three appearances across Ohio, including one at Bloom’s Columbus location on Georgesville Road on May 21 from 2 to 3:30 p.m.
Belushi’s Farms, established in 2017, began in Oregon’s medical marijuana market. Its products, including flower, pre-rolls, vapes, and edibles, are now available in Bloom’s four Ohio locations, with plans to expand to around 30 additional dispensaries in the state.
During his visits, Belushi will engage with attendees, signing postcards and taking photos, alongside his dog Taro. Missy Starr, Bloom Dispensaries’ vice president of marketing, emphasized that these meet-and-greet sessions are one of Belushi’s favorite aspects of his work. He enjoys connecting with consumers and sharing his journey in the cannabis industry.
Starr noted that Belushi has fond memories of Ohio, as his mother is from Akron. His return is a personal visit as much as a promotional one, as he seeks to meet people and discuss the cannabis market developments.
Bloom Dispensaries is also planning to open a second Columbus location on Lockbourne Road by the end of May and aims to establish three more locations in the state by the end of the year, including one in Massillon and another in Athens, with the goal of opening this summer. A third Columbus location on High Street is expected to open in late December or early January 2026.
