Cocaine and cannabis dealer sentenced for drug offenses

A 28-year-old drug dealer, Tommy-Lee Carson, received a 45-month prison sentence after being found guilty of dealing cocaine and cannabis. The sentence was handed down at Cardiff Crown Court following a police investigation into his active drug dealing phone line that advertised both substances for sale.

In February, law enforcement executed a search warrant at Carson’s home in Barry, Wales. During the raid, officers discovered drugs with an estimated street value exceeding £7,000, along with a dangerous weapon known as a ‘zombie knife.’ The combination of illegal substances and a weapon raised serious concerns about public safety in the community.

With the acceptance of his guilty pleas, Carson will serve up to half of his sentence in custody. After that, he will be eligible for release on license, allowing him to complete the remaining time under supervision in the community.

Detective Constable Gaby Pughsley of South Wales Police commented on the case, stating that Carson’s drug activities negatively affected the local community. Pughsley expressed satisfaction with the length of the sentence, highlighting the police’s zero-tolerance policy towards drug distribution on the streets. The organized crime team remains dedicated to identifying and apprehending individuals involved in drug-related offenses, aiming to enhance community safety.
