Ori Bytton, a cannabis entrepreneur and founder of Natura Life, has relisted his custom-built mansion in Bel-Air for nearly $30 million. This sprawling property, which he has never occupied, is now on the market for $29.99 million. This marks the fifth attempt to sell the six-bedroom, 11-bathroom home in the last two years.
Bytton initially listed the mansion in March 2023 for $38 million. He explained to the Wall Street Journal that he had never lived in the house because he moved to Sacramento to be closer to his cannabis production campus before its construction was completed. Despite the mansion’s luxurious features, Bytton has had difficulty securing a buyer, leading to a price reduction of nearly $10 million.
While the exact construction cost of the mansion remains unknown, Bytton purchased the land for $1.78 million in 2014, prior to breaking ground in October 2018. The property took five years to complete and spans 13,600 square feet. Among its unique amenities is a custom smoking room, for which Bytton invested approximately $100,000 in ventilation alone.
Designed by South Africa-based SAOTA Architecture and Design along with local architect David Maman, the home features a grand entrance through a 10-foot oak door. Inside, there are floor-to-ceiling windows that enhance the stunning views and create a seamless indoor-outdoor living experience. The expansive living area is furnished with four seating arrangements and a chic fireplace.
The chef’s kitchen is a centerpiece of the home, highlighted by a Travertino island and a notable Pierre de Varennes staircase. Additionally, the primary suite boasts a lavish soaking tub made of silver travertine, costing Bytton $160,000, as reported by the Journal.
On the second floor, three guest bedrooms are situated, along with a rooftop terrace that includes a spa. The basement features a theater room with a projector screen, a sauna, a gym, and the distinctive smoking room. Bytton, who enjoys poker and smoking hookah with friends, believed that the ventilation system was a necessary addition, despite friends thinking it was an unusual choice for a home.
The listing describes the mansion as a “breathtaking retreat,” equipped with smart home technology and exceptional craftsmanship. It emphasizes that this estate represents a rare opportunity to own a private sanctuary in Bel-Air’s highly sought-after area.
Initially, the home was listed for $38 million in March 2023. The price was later reduced to $31.99 million in June 2023, but the property was taken off the market shortly thereafter.
