Oregon Recalls Cannabis Cookies Due to Allergen Mislabeling

Cannabis cookies sold in 37 retailers across Oregon have been recalled because milk was not listed as an allergen on the packaging. The recall was initiated by the Oregon Liquor and Cannabis Commission (OLCC) following a routine inspection at a marijuana retailer.

The cookies, branded as Lissa’s Fresh Baked Cookie Bites, include flavors such as Snickerdoodle and Chocolate Chip. They were made available for purchase starting in November 2023. The OLCC has sent notices to all retailers to halt sales and distribution, advising consumers who possess the cookies to dispose of them.

As of now, the OLCC has reported no health-related complaints concerning these cookies. The investigation into why the allergen was omitted from the packaging is ongoing.

The packaging of the recalled cookies bears the Label Number 1439 and was produced by C&R Oregon Corporation or Green Box MFG LLC. Consumers with concerns can contact the Oregon Poison Center at 800.222.1222 or reach out to the OLCC via email at olcc.recalls@oregon.gov.
