The Minnesota Office of Cannabis Management (OCM) will reopen registration for hemp-derived cannabinoid businesses starting June 2. This registration period will remain open until August 21, allowing unregistered businesses that sell hemp-derived cannabinoid products (HDCPs) to comply with state law. Operating without proper registration is a violation of Minnesota state regulations.
In addition to the HDCP registration, OCM will also accept applications for business licenses specifically for lower-potency hemp edible retailers, manufacturers, and wholesalers. This application window will be available from October 1 to October 31.
The reopening of these registration windows aims to bring more businesses into compliance with state laws and regulations governing the hemp industry in Minnesota. OCM’s efforts reflect ongoing changes in the cannabis landscape as both consumers and businesses adapt to evolving market conditions.
