New York issues recall for cannabis products over pesticide risks

The New York State Office of Cannabis Management (OCM) has announced a recall of several products from IndoGrow LLC due to safety concerns. This action follows the discovery that these products lacked proper testing from a certified laboratory, prompting their quarantine.

Officials confirmed that nine specific cannabis products were retested during this quarantine period. The results indicated the presence of pesticides that may pose health risks to consumers. The recalled products include:

– The Force Pre-Roll (Lot: SWDV01) – Blue Coffee Flower (Lot: IC099-001-BC) – Blue Coffee Pre-Roll (Lot: IC099-BC1-PR) – Sour Runtz Flower (Lot: IC099-001-SR) – Sour Runts Pre-Roll (Lot: IC099-SR1-PR) – Cosmic Burst Flower (Lot: PPPG01) – Oreoz Flower (Lot: IC099-001-OR) – Oreoz Pre-Roll (Lot: IC099-OR1-PR) – Secret Formula Flower (Lot: IC099-001-SF)

These products may also be labeled under alternative brand names, including Indi, Grow by Indi, Our Creation, and Grow with Us. As of the latest update, no adverse health effects have been reported from consumers who used these products.

The OCM has instructed all dispensaries and distributors in New York to cease sales of the recalled items immediately. Customers who have purchased any of the recalled products, whether sealed or opened, are advised to return them to the dispensary where they made the purchase. An ongoing investigation into the matter is being conducted by the OCM.

Consumers can report any issues with cannabis products by completing an incident form available on the OCM website.
