The New York State Office of Cannabis Management has announced a recall of several adult-use cannabis products from IndoGrow LLC due to pesticide contamination. These products, which were sold through licensed dispensaries statewide, contained pesticides not permitted under state regulations, raising concerns for public health and safety.
The recall affects nine specific product lots, including: – “The Force Pre-Roll” – “Blue Coffee Flower” – “Sour Runtz Flower + Pre-Roll” – “Cosmic Burst Flower” – “Oreoz Flower + Pre-Roll” – “Secret Formula Flower”
These items may also be sold under various brand names such as Indi, Grow by Indi, Our Creation, and Grow with Us. The issues arose after the products were quarantined due to unreliable testing results from a previous laboratory. A follow-up test confirmed the presence of harmful pesticides.
In response, dispensaries and distributors have been ordered to immediately stop the sale and distribution of these affected products. Although no adverse health effects have been reported from consumers who have used these products, the Office of Cannabis Management is taking precautionary measures to ensure public safety.
Consumers who purchased any of the recalled products can return them to the dispensary, regardless of whether the items have been opened. Additionally, the Office of Cannabis Management encourages consumers to report any incidents related to these or any other cannabis products through an incident form available on their website. Those experiencing severe symptoms after consumption should seek medical assistance or contact the Poison Center at (800) 222-1222.
