The Alcoholic Beverage and Cannabis Administration’s (ABCA) Enforcement Division, along with officers from the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD), recently shut down the Sheridan International Market. This closure took place on March 24, 2025, at the market located at 6232 Georgia Avenue NW, which was deemed to pose “a credible and imminent danger to public health and safety.”

This action is part of ABCA’s ongoing efforts to eliminate unlicensed cannabis retailers from the D.C. area. During the operation, a search warrant was executed at the market, revealing a significant quantity of cannabis products. Authorities found two pounds of marijuana, 504 grams of THC concentrate, nine grams of THC cartridges, and over two pounds of THC edibles.
