Middletown is preparing to open its first regulated cannabis dispensary, Terrasana, at 3616 Dixie Highway in the coming weeks. The dispensary will occupy a 3,000-square-foot building that was previously a bank, situated at the busy intersection of Dixie Highway and Pendleton Circle. The company has chosen this location for its strategic position just minutes off Interstate 75, within a bustling retail area.
Chad Wise, the owner of Terrasana, stated that the company aims to positively impact Middletown by creating jobs, attracting visitors, and forming meaningful partnerships within the community. He emphasized that Terrasana intends to be a vital part of the neighborhoods it serves.
Wise also mentioned that Terrasana plans to open additional locations across Ohio later this year. Currently, the company operates dispensaries in Cleveland, Columbus, Fremont, and Springfield, each offering a diverse range of medical marijuana products such as edibles, tinctures, topicals, and vapes.
All Terrasana dispensaries comply with the regulations set by the Ohio Medical Marijuana Control Program, ensuring a secure and compliant experience for consumers. The new Middletown location aims to enhance access to safe and regulated cannabis products for users in the area.
In July 2024, the Middletown City Council overturned a ban on medical marijuana dispensaries that had been in place since 2017. They passed an ordinance allowing up to three dispensaries, catering to both medical and recreational users. In comparison, Monroe has four dual-use marijuana dispensaries, making it the city with the highest number of marijuana businesses per capita in Ohio.
Other dual-use dispensaries in Butler County include Bloom Medicinals in Seven Mile, as well as Beyond Hello and Consume Oxford located in Oxford. Details regarding the grand opening, including a formal ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new Middletown location, will be announced in the coming weeks.
