A teenager has been charged after being found with three bags of marijuana at Thomas Stone High School in Charles County, Maryland. This incident occurred on March 26, according to the Charles County Sheriff’s Office.
A school administrator discovered the raw cannabis during a routine check, leading to the involvement of local authorities. Following the discovery, the marijuana was confiscated, and the student was charged on a juvenile civil citation for possession of cannabis.
In addition to the legal repercussions, the student will face disciplinary actions in accordance with the Charles County Public Schools Code of Student Conduct. The sheriff’s office emphasized the importance of maintaining a safe environment for students and staff within the school system.
