Middletown, Ohio, is set to welcome its first-ever cannabis dispensary, marking a significant milestone for the local community. Terrasana Cannabis Co., an Ohio-based company specializing in medical and recreational cannabis, plans to open this new location soon. The dispensary, which is the company’s fifth in Ohio, will be situated at 3616 Dixie Highway, conveniently near I-75 in a busy retail area.
The new store will span 3,000 square feet and will provide a modern retail experience featuring a selection of cannabis products grown in Ohio. The investment for the Middletown location amounts to approximately $1 million, showcasing the company’s commitment to the area.
In addition to enhancing access to legal cannabis, the new dispensary is expected to generate local jobs, contributing positively to the region’s economic development. Terrasana has already hired about 12 to 15 employees for the store and plans to double that number as operations ramp up.
Chad Wise, the owner of Terrasana, expressed enthusiasm about joining the Middletown community, stating that the company is proud to expand safe and legal access for cannabis consumers in Southwest Ohio. The dispensary is anticipated to attract customers from both the Dayton and Cincinnati areas, as well as those from surrounding communities.
Pending final state approval, the Middletown dispensary is scheduled to open on April 16. Terrasana also has plans for further expansion across Ohio, with a new location in Eaton already in development, alongside future sites in Columbus and Cleveland.
Terrasana Cannabis Co. currently operates dispensaries in various Ohio cities, including Columbus, Cleveland, Fremont, and Springfield, serving both cannabis consumers and patients across the state.
