Timber Cannabis Co celebrated its grand opening in New Buffalo with a ribbon-cutting ceremony hosted by the Harbor Country Chamber of Commerce on April 4. The dispensary, located at 19615 U.S. 12, has been operational for two months, having opened in early February. It offers a comprehensive range of cannabis products, including its own line of seed-to-store flower branded as High Minded.
During the ceremony, Mike Stump, the Director of Retail at Timber Cannabis, claimed that their High Minded flower is “the best fire in the state of Michigan.” This statement highlights the company’s commitment to quality in their cannabis offerings.
Joshua Slusser, the General Manager of the New Buffalo location, noted that the High Minded brand includes a diverse selection of products such as flower, edibles, and vapes. In addition to these, Timber Cannabis provides a variety of other items, including drinks, candy, chocolate, popcorn, concentrates, and pre-rolls. Slusser emphasized their aim to cater to every customer’s needs by also offering holistic medicines that do not contain THC or other intoxicants.
Joe Becker, the Director of Marketing, expressed the company’s goal to ensure a tailored experience for customers. He stated that they strive to find “the right product for the right person” while providing the best deals possible.
Stump reported a strong turnout for the grand opening, attracting customers not only from across Michigan but also from neighboring Indiana and Illinois. He mentioned that Timber Cannabis aims to meet customers where they are, whether they prefer in-person consultations with well-trained staff or a digital experience through innovative kiosks for placing orders.
