Chicago’s latest cannabis retail option, Edibles Express, has opened near Wrigley Field at 3759 N. Racine Ave., catering specifically to the local community and game-day attendees. This new store, launched by the worker-owned Chicago Cannabis Company, marks the brand’s third location and is the first dedicated entirely to cannabis edibles.
Founder Tomasz Gliszewski explained that customer demand for edibles prompted this focused approach. “We noticed how many people were just buying edibles when they came into our other shops,” he said. The store offers a variety of products, including THC-infused drinks, baked goods, gummies, and candies. All items are hemp-derived, which allows for online ordering, credit card payments, and delivery options through services like DoorDash.
Edibles Express features a selection of drinks developed in collaboration with Marz Brewing, including unique flavors of Stupid Soda and cannabis-infused seltzers. In addition to individual purchases, the shop provides Cubs-themed bundles such as The W, The Grand Slam, and The Triple Play, each with different THC dosage options suitable for various consumer preferences.
“As far as I know, it’s probably the only shop in the city right now offering dispensary-quality edibles in a dedicated space,” Gliszewski stated, highlighting the shop’s unique market position.
Since its establishment in 2018 following the legalization of hemp-based cannabis products by the federal Farm Bill, Chicago Cannabis Company has experienced steady growth. The company initially launched online before opening its first storefront in Lincoln Park in 2022, followed by another location in North Center in 2023. The Wrigleyville shop is seen as a strategic experiment reflecting the evolving preferences of cannabis consumers.
Gliszewski anticipates that if market conditions permit, the company may expand further, potentially opening additional shops across Chicago or even franchising in the future. He emphasized the goal of making cannabis a mainstream, accessible product: “That starts with making it easy to walk in, grab what you need and head to the game. No stress, no pressure.”
Edibles Express operates from noon to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday and from noon to 5 p.m. on Sundays, providing customers ample opportunity to explore their offerings.
