In the early hours of the morning, an attempted burglary at a cannabis dispensary in Long Beach prompted a police response. The incident took place around 4:45 a.m. in the 1500 block of East Seventh Street, according to the Long Beach Police Department (LBPD).
While details about the number of suspects remain unclear, LBPD Officer Eric Stachura confirmed that a group of men attempted to enter the dispensary but did not succeed. As officers responded to the scene, the suspects fled in a vehicle. This initiated a brief police chase that ultimately ended on the 710 Freeway when the patrol supervisor decided to terminate the pursuit due to unsafe speeds.
At this time, descriptions of the suspects and their vehicle have not been released. Fortunately, no injuries were reported during the incident. The LBPD is continuing its investigation into the attempted burglary and is seeking any information that might assist in identifying the suspects.
