LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — Metro police narcotics officers confiscated 814 pounds of illegal cannabis on Thursday during an investigation into an unauthorized grow operation. The operation was located at a residence in a northwest Las Vegas neighborhood near Alexander Road and Tenaya Way.
Officers executed a search warrant, leading to the discovery of the cannabis stored in approximately 80 boxes lined up on the street, as shown in a photo released by the police. The officers dismantled the grow operation as part of their investigation.
As of now, there are no reports of arrests connected to this case, and the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department has stated that the investigation is ongoing. This incident highlights ongoing concerns regarding illegal cannabis cultivation in the area.
