New York recalls nine cannabis products over pesticide issues

New York’s Office of Cannabis Management (OCM) has announced the recall of nine cannabis product lots from IndoGrow LLC due to pesticide contamination. This decision follows a failed retest of these products, which were previously quarantined amid concerns regarding lab testing reliability.

The affected products were sold at licensed adult-use dispensaries throughout New York State. After retesting authorized by the OCM, the products were found to exceed allowable pesticide levels, which violates state regulations and may pose risks to public health.

Dispensaries and distributors must immediately cease sales and distribution of the following products: – The Force Pre-Roll – Lot: SWDV01 – Blue Coffee Flower – Lot: IC099-001-BC – Blue Coffee Pre-Roll – Lot: IC099-BC1-PR – Sour Runtz Flower – Lot: IC099-001-SR – Sour Runtz Pre-Roll – Lot: IC099-SR1-PR – Cosmic Burst Flower – Lot: PPPG01 – Oreoz Flower – Lot: IC099-001-OR – Oreoz Pre-Roll – Lot: IC099-OR1-PR – Secret Formula Flower – Lot: IC099-001-SF

All products were manufactured under license number OCM-MICR-000099. These items may also be marketed under names like Indi, Grow by Indi, Our Creation, or Grow with Us.

While the OCM has yet to receive reports of health complications linked to these products, the recall serves as a precautionary measure. Consumers who purchased any of the affected items, even if opened, should return them to the dispensary where they were acquired.

Those experiencing symptoms related to cannabis use are advised to seek medical attention and contact their healthcare provider or the Poison Center at 1-800-222-1222. The OCM encourages the public to report any adverse events or incidents by filling out an incident report form available at cannabis.ny.gov/report-an-incident.
